Recognising / Managing SLDs

Postby G202 » Wed 11. Oct 2023, 00:44

Hi,

I've just minted 7 SLDs. 5 on various TLDs I own and 2 on a TLD I wasn't fast enough to acquire.

How can one tell which SLD is which in your wallet. There doesn't not seem to be an identifier (the SLD text is certainly not there. Not even in the visible metadata...?

(Tried uploading an image, but I hit this issue: "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.")

If you go to your dashboard in your account, you have the following options:

1. "TLD List" > TLD > "Manage" > "Associated Domains": you will see all SLDs purchased for this TLD from all customers

2. "Domain List": you will see all your own SLDs

Everyone is able to see the purchased SLDs in the Freename Explorer:

https://freename.io/explore > search for the TLD and click on "Domains" to see all SLDs purchased for this TLD from all customers

Everyone is able to see SLDs and TLDs attached to a specific wallet address in the Freename Whois:

https://whois.freename.io/ > search for a SLD or TLD to find the wallet address of it or search for the wallet address to find all SLDs and TLDs attached to this wallet

For a deep dive, the minted domains can be investigated in the Blockchain Explorer.

Here the example for Polygon which is the most used chain by Freename customers: https://polygonscan.com/token/0x465ea49 ... 2b4a4bee65

If you are searching for an identifier, the easiest way is to go to your account at Freename. In both the list of SLDs and / or TLDs, you will find a link to the blockchain where the domain is minted directly under the domain name. It's specified with "Minted on (blockchain name)".

What additional information are you looking for?

Which wallet are you using in which the problem occurs?

Hmmm, so this may be a bug.

My TLDs Display in the following format:
Picture = Freename Logo above the .registeredtld
NFT Collection Title = Freename Domains
NFT ID = .registeredtld

The first SLDs I ever minted on FN display:
Picture = Freename Logo above the .tld with the sld written in the image below
NFT Collection Title = Freename Domains
NFT ID = sld.tld

** This is what I was expecting to see (And is still displayed)

All 7 new SLDs minted (5 from my own TLDs and 2 from another TLD) display:
Picture = No Logo (just a genegic NFT text) with no .tld an no sld written in the image at all
NFT Collection Title = Freename Domains
NFT ID = Freename Domains

Hence why there is no way to distinguish them from each other.

The wallet is OKX - but as mentioned - there is no issue with the earlier minted SLDs (or with my TLD mints) they display with the correct information.

This is a technical problem and can only be solved by the developers of Freename or OKX. Please open a support ticket. You can contact Freename directly here: support@freename.io
Usually they solve such situations immediately.
